BERRY BRAIN BOOST

This makes a fantastic super charged, antioxidant, vitamin booster first thing or after your morning run!

Anthocyanin is a powerful antioxidant that gives blueberries and strawberries their vibrant color. It may also help open blood vessels, which allows for smoother blood flow and a lower risk for high blood pressure.

Researchers say blueberries contain a wealth of phytochemicals that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, studies have shown that the polyphenols found in blueberries, anthocyanins, have been shown to increase signaling in brain centres associated with memory as well as improve how the brain gets rid of glucose, all of which may help slow memory decline.

Ingredients:

1/2 scoop Vegan Protein blend
2x tsps Super green powder
1x Persimmon
1x Banana
2x Broccoli florets
5x Strawberries
40g Blueberries
40g Spinach
50ml water
50ml pressed Apple juice

METHOD:  Add the protein, green powder, chopped banana and liquids. Then add the broccoli, strawberries and berries, top with the spinach and persimmon fruit. Blend on pulse or high setting until a smooth consistency.

Hope you enjoy!
